WE'VE DISTINGUISHED OURSELVES IN THE MICRO SATELLITE INDUSTRY
  • SpaceQuest is recognized as a leader in developing micro satellite components. Through the use of innovative technology, our founders developed the very first commercial low-Earth orbit satellite system for worldwide asset tracking and environmental monitoring back in 1993. We also constructed the first mobile satellite communications terminal to be carried to the North Pole by an Artic expedition team. The terminal was used to transmit two-way messages and digital photographs to SpaceQuest's ground station in Fairfax, Virginia.

  • SpaceQuest's executive management has been involved in major space projects for forty years. Dr. Dino Lorenzini, SpaceQuest's CEO, held senior management positions while in the US Air Force on such US government projects as the Apollo Lunar Module and the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System. SpaceQuest's Vice President, Mark Kanawati, directed the development, installation and operation of a Microsat Command Station for controlling one of the world's first commercial LEO satellites.

  • SpaceQuest provides research organizations, universities, space agencies, amateur satellite operators and other users with advanced wireless communication hardware, software and technical services.

  • Unlike other companies serving the micro satellite community, SpaceQuest develops and builds its products and components at its own facilities, eliminating the time and expense of utilizing higher priced components from multiple manufacturers or distributors. Our spacecraft components are space-tested to ensure they are suitable for the intended application.

  • We distinguish ourselves by operating in small technical teams to develop our components and spacecraft from start to finish and are available to answer any technical questions you may have.

  • Our ground and space components are "miniaturized" to reduce the size, cost, power consumption and complexity of satellite development. SpaceQuest's Nanosat, for example, is about one eighth the size and one quarter the mass of comparable systems.

  • Our low-power satellite components leads to smaller, lighter spacecraft able to operate with fewer solar cells, thereby reducing overall launch mass and cost.

  • Our low-cost satellite ground stations use commercial antennas, equipment and software for quick installation and cost-effective operation.
